Hello.
It’s been a while!
First things first. I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving, or a regular Thursday, for anyone reading this from overseas. I’ll be at work when this goes live, but a Turkey coma is swiftly awaiting afterward.
This post has been written, deleted, and re-written three times. The lack of posts is a multifaceted reason. The details can be saved for a therapy session, but it all revolves around mental health. The burnout popped its ugly head up again, and a break was needed. The sheer amount of AEW shows, PPVs, and content was too much. It still is. None of me thought AEW would move to six PPVs in six months. That, plus two (three if you count Ring of Honor), shows per week, took its toll. AEW burned me out of wrestling. I mistakenly tried to review games as well, while trying to keep a happy home life. What was I thinking?!
The inception of this website can be traced back to when I started focusing on my mental health, and writing became my lone savior. And instead of being a friend to rely on, writing about wrestling became a busy burden on top of a busy life. I’m a passionate man. I roll in my passions deeper than Mariana’s Trench. I needed to come up for air before I drowned. Unfortunately, I got the bends on the way up.
But enough sad sack writing. Today is a happy day full of love, family, and copious amounts of gravy. Thank you so much for reading over the last two years of writing on this tiny site. I still love writing and will continue writing on this tiny site. I’m preparing to come back in full force, but maybe a little different than before.
2023 was about finding myself. My second anniversary post was all about it. That journey of discovery never ends, but the outline of the puzzle has taken shape.
Wherever you are, whoever you spend today with, or whatever you plan on doing…
Thank you. I haven’t gone anywhere, and I plan to come back in full force very soon.
Cheers! Happy Thanksgiving!
